ECU Programming

Modern cars often require additional coding for the dedicated tow-bar wiring harnesses, we can undertake full ECU coding with our dedicated programming tool. Failure to do this, or use of by-pass relays, can lead to problems with the car's ECU and costly repairs further down the line.

Tow Bar Types

There are three main types of tow-bars available for most makes and model of vehicle along with several different plug options.

Swan Neck Tow-Bar

Swan Neck Tow-Bar. Has the same nose weight as a Flange Tow-bar and is a popluar choice.

Detachable Tow Bar

Detachable Tow Bar. A good choice if you need the advantages of a tow bar but do not wish to have it permanently on display.

Flange Tow-Bar

Flange Tow-Bar. Has the same nose weight as a Swan Neck just a different appearance.

13 Pin Plug

13 pin plugs are common and can be found on caravans and some horse trailers. Manufacturers are moving towards 13 pin only.

7 Pin Plug

7 pin plugs are normally used on trailers and bike carriers.
